On Saturday evening, 14 people were killed in a road wreck in Ipetu Ijesa, Osun State.
A gold colour Siena vehicle with registration number KRD 842 GY and a truck with registration number BAU 171 ZE were involved in the accident.
Two female children, four male children, four male adults and four female adults lost their lives.
The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) cordoned off the scene, evacuated the injured to hospitals and transported the bodies to the morgue.
Corps Commander Paul Okpe of the (FRSC) in the state said the accident might have been caused by wrongful overtaking.
According to Okpe, FRSC Osun Sector Command spokesperson, Agness Ogungbemi, the mutilated corpses were taken to Wesley Hospital Morgue, Ilesa.
