Bankole Wellington, better known by his nickname Banky W, has won the Peoples Democratic Party’s re-run primary election in Eti-Osa Federal Constituency, Lagos.
Mr Bankole Wellington, better known by his nickname Banky W, won the election with 24 votes compared to his opponent Sam Aiboni’s five votes.
Due to the cancellation of the first primary last month, the rerun was postponed for today.
Since he joined the main opposition party earlier this year, the singer is viewed as a frontrunner for the nomination.
