David Umahi, the governor of Ebonyi State and a presidential candidate for the All Progressive Congress Party (APC) in 2023, has pledged to reform Nigeria even farther than he did as governor if elected president.
He sees his success in Ebonyi as proof that Nigeria will be great under his leadership.
According to a statement released by his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Mr. Francis Nwaze, Umahi made the announcement on Sunday, during which he congratulated the newly elected executives of his party, led by Senator Abdullahi Adamu, who was elected as the consensus National Chairman after six other candidates pulled out of the race.
Ebonyi State would serve as a microcosm of what Nigerians might expect if God puts me on as President of the country,” he stated.
“The future of Nigeria is coming from that rising sun of Ebonyi State, if you come to Ebonyi State you will witness the infrastructure, the unity.”
President Obama and his Convention Extraordinary Planning Committee were praised for their maturity in resolving any disputes amicably.
APC has a “sense of unity,” and “APC will always address their issues amicably, that is why we are one huge family of APC in Nigeria.”
