Peter Obi doesn’t have experience to be Nigeria President – Okowa

Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, is unable to lead Nigeria, according to Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

As the vice-presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Okowa stated Obi lacks the necessary expertise to be president.

Obi’s experience as a former governor was acknowledged in an interview with BBC Pidgin.

“I didn’t say he wouldn’t have any votes, he will,” he insisted. In other words, he’s not an up-and-coming candidate. He’s only been out of the PDP for a short time. Previously, he was a member of the APGA, then from APGA he joined the PDP. He can’t say anything about PDP because he was a member of the party before he left (PDP).

The majority of us are still around.” There are good people and evil individuals at every gathering. However, today’s Nigeria is tumultuous, and we need the proper person to lead us out of this mess. My plea to our young people is that they not be fooled by the idea of a fake change, as they did in 2015 when they railed against Jonathan.

There is no way his (Obi’s) past experience will be sufficient to carry him through this one (the presidency). His knowledge is lacking. Even as a governor now in office, I am well aware of the difficulties. Because Atiku has worked in the federal administration, I’d like to learn from him. It’s not a simple task. At the time, they had to deal with a far larger issue: the economy. They had to make it better, bring hope to the people, create jobs, and filter society. As a result, some sort of lesson is being imparted. You can tell Obi’s experience is limited just looking at it.”
