Sam Omatseye: Peter Obi’s supporters sent me death threats

According to Sam Omatseye, a veteran journalist, Peter Obi, the Labour Party’s presidential candidate, has been threatened with death by the party’s fans.

‘Obi-tuary’ is the title of his most recent piece in The Nation.

According to Omatseye, Obi has turned out to be a reason for even closet Biafrans to betray open emotions regarding Biafra without being accused of it, as he said in the post. Also included here are those intellectuals who did not show pity to him throughout his tenure as pharisaic governor of Anambra. It’s like putting a different colour on top of the same colour. As a result, Obi has become a haven for both criminals and campaigners.

In response, Obi’s fans attacked Omatseye, the writer of The Nation’s weekly piece.

Omatseye claimed in a tweet that obi should be held accountable if anything were to happen to him on Monday.

Mr. Peter Obi, please order your supporters to the curb!” They’re making death threats and placing them on the phone. When he tweeted, “If anything happens to me, you will be held accountable!”

Most of Obi’s supporters are referred to as “Obidients” on social media, where Obi has a large following.
