David Adeleke, also known as Davido, a prominent Nigerian musician, has stated that the votes of the citizens of Osun State will not be stolen.

Monday on his verified Twitter account, the Nigerian musician contrasted the Ekiti State election that took place last week.

He stated, “Osun is not Ekiti, as our people would fight lawfully any attempts to loot them, as was done in 2018… On July 16 we will celebrate! See you soon, but not yet.”

In March, Davido’s uncle, Senator Ademola Adeleke, was named the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in Osun state following the primary election conducted at the Osogbo City Stadium in advance of the July election.

Senator Ademola Adeleke, who represented the Osun-West Senatorial District in 2017, defeated Akin Ogunbiyi to become the governorship candidate of the PDP in Osun State.

His nephew Davido, who has been supporting the Senator, congratulated him on social media.
