Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Ibrahim Masari has praised Rivers State Governor Nyesom Wike, calling him a “big politician,” and asserting that Wike will help APC presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu win in 2023.
During an interview with the BBC Hausa service, Masari made the revelation.
The APC leader stood in as the party’s de facto vice president.
It was reported that Wike and Tinubu met in London on Tuesday, and Masari has now confirmed that this meeting indeed took place.
The focus of the discussion, he added, was the upcoming presidential election in 2023, and “by God’s help,” he and Governor Nyesom Wike will collaborate on that campaign. If it is God’s will, he will lend a hand, and we will easily prevail in the election.
This is due to the fact that Wike is a powerful politician and governor who exerts influence beyond his home state. He has a tranquil reputation among his people and is generally well-liked. To God’s glory, he’ll be useful to us.
If you’ll recall, it was APC members who were responsible for the party’s defeat in Bauchi’s governorship. There, too, in Adamawa. To put it another way, I want people to know that it is possible to get help from someone who isn’t a member of your party.
The people of Nigeria have spoken, and His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu will be elected president come hell or high water.
