Former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Vice President Yemi Osinbajo met in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun State, on Monday.

On Monday and Tuesday, the conversation titled “West Africa: Rising To The Challenge Of Consolidating Democratic Governance” would take place at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta.

At 10:24 a.m., Osinbajo’s helicopter landed on the grounds of the OOPL.

Osinbajo was later met by Obasanjo as they headed to the site prepared for the meeting in conjunction with Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, and others.

Despite calls from numerous political groups for Osinbajo to declare his candidacy for the presidency in 2023, he has yet to do so.

His visit comes less than 48 hours after the ruling All Progressives Congress’s (APC) national convention ended.

According to the Daily Trust, Osinbajo’s presidential campaign has gathered traction across all platforms, with diverse groups of his fans and admirers urging him to become the next president.
