According to Dr Dahiru, among the victims is a seven-month-old baby’s mother, as well as three others who suffer from hypertension and asthma.
All the victims were quarantined at the Isolation Centre of Infectious Diseases Hospital in Kwadon, Yamaltu/Deba LGA in the state, according to the commissioner.
According to him, the victims were detected during the ongoing screening and rapid testing at the Orientation Camp at Amadan, which began five days ago.
According to Dr Dahiru, most of the victims are from the states where the Delta COVID variant has been detected.
Asymptomatic victims will be in isolation for a week, and another test will be conducted on them, according to the commissioner, who is also Chairman of the Incident Management System (IMS).
