Anambra State’s Commissioner of Police, CP Echeng Eworo Echeng, made the announcement in a statement, assuring voters that they would be secure while voting.
It was revealed during a press conference by Echeng that all of the essential resources, including people, had arrived in the State in time for the gubernatorial election on November 6.
“The IGP has sent assets and boots to the State. The IGP is fervent and emotionally invested in this election; for everything this command has requested, he has given us something more in return.
“For airborne observation, we have helicopter backup. To keep an eye on the sea, we have gunboats. We’ll be able to go about during the election with the cars we have. And we’ll be out and about starting tomorrow.
“We want to be the dominant force in this state so that the decent people of Anambra may rest assured that they are safe. On November 6th, everyone should take part in their civic duty by going to the polls.
“We’ll treat them with respect. But when it comes to troublemakers, we’re going to be forceful and decisive with anybody who attempts to stop anyone from doing what’s right,” Echeng added.
