Ancha village in the Miango District of the Irigwe Chiefdom of Bassa Local Government Area of Plateau State was rocked by two fatalities on Tuesday afternoon.
National Publicity Secretary of the Irigwe Development Association (IDA), Davidson Malison, stated that they had been ambushed and killed while working on their farm.
Ubah Gabriel, a spokesperson for the state police, has confirmed the attack and said that police have been dispatched to the area.
According to Malison, who identified the victims as Daniel James (32 years old) and Zakwe Deba (35 years old), “I spoke with the Bassa DPO on the matter who said he was on his way to the scene.
Security personnel and the government must take more proactive measures to put an end to the bloodshed in this country, which has saddened the entire Rigwe nation.
A Fulani militia atrocity “has had gross negative effects on our people and it must be stopped,” he said.
According to a spokesman, the attack was carried out by Fulani Herdsmen.
A representative of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN), Malam Garba Abdullahi, denied the claim, saying; “the allegation was baseless.
