Eight farmers have been killed by bandits in Buruku and Udawa villages in Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
While working on their farm, the victims were attacked.
Two villages located along the Kaduna-Birnin Gwari highway have been constantly attacked.
Muhammed Umar, a resident of the area and a local community leader, confirmed the attacks to Daily Trust on Saturday.
“Five farmers were killed in Buruku and three in Udawa. We are tired of burying our men every day. He said, “We need help.”.
ASP Jalige Mohammed, Public Relations Officer for the State Police Command, confirmed the attacks, but said the command has not yet verified the actual death toll.
