Justice Stanley Nnaji, a former judge of the Enugu State High Court, has been shot dead by gunmen.
The Nigerian Barrister @TheNigerianBar posted a video on Twitter showing armed men dragging Nnaji out of his car at a deserted crossroad.
According to police, the location is the popular Ebeano Tunnel Roundabout in Enugu.
They fired a volley of shots before driving away in the SUV.
The voice of the recorder can be heard in the video, filmed by a resident overlooking the crossroads.
Mohammed Aliyu, the Enugu police commissioner, has ordered a manhunt for armed assailants.
Nnaji was a Judge in the Enugu State High Court until he was dismissed for his role in the removal of Governor Chris Ngige, the then Governor of Anambra State in 2007 via a questionable ex-parte order.
He was killed just hours after Ahmed Gulak, the former Special Adviser on politics to President Goodluck Jonathan, was killed by gunmen in Owerri, Imo State.
Gulak was on his way to Abuja when he died Saturday night.
