The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has been reorganized under the leadership of President Muhammadu Buhari.
He appointed Lukman Mohammed, Kola Adeshina, and Mohammed Yahaya as board members, as well as Mr George Abang as secretary of the board.
Senate approval is required for all appointments.
Tuesday, in a plenary session during which President Buhari’s letter seeking confirmation of his nominees was read, the Senate’s president, Ahmad Lawan, read the letter to it.
Buhari said the nominations were in accordance with the law creating the anti-graft agency.
According to him, the Senate should confirm them “in the usual expeditious manner”.
