Mutius Abdul-Rasheed, a suspected human parts dealer, has been arrested by the Oyo State Security Network, popularly known as Amotekun.
When interrogated, the 40-year-old admitted that he is part of a syndicate that exhumes corpses and sells their organs to prospective buyers.
Abdul-Rasheed who was paraded with some of the human parts said;
We only exhume bodies whose identities are known to us, because we must know the deceased person while he or she was alive.
It is also necessary to know his or her name and that of the mother.
Knowing the mother’s name of the deceased person to whom we want to sell body parts attracts extra costs from those who buy the human parts from us.”
Col Olayinka Olayanju (retd), the commandant of the Amotekun Corps in the state, said items recovered from the suspect included guns, charms, decaying body parts, motorcycles, and a car.
Olayanju said unnamed individuals are pressuring him to release the suspect.
