A member of the Abia State vigilante group, Okorie Chukwuma, has been paraded before the Rivers State Police Command for allegedly killing his boss, Mr Eyinaya Ogbonna.
A businessman based in the United States of America, Eyeinaya Ogbonna, had returned to Nigeria to invest and was building a gas station.
Afterwards, he may have employed the suspect to work for him and possibly protect the facility through the Abia State Vigilante Service.
The suspect, Okorie Chukwuma, became hostile to his boss when he refused to follow his instructions.
During his boss’ visit to the facility, he is alleged to have conspired with another member of the vigilante to shoot him to death with a pump-action gun.
Chukwuma then stole Ogbonna’s Toyota Venza car after killing him.
He was arrested while trying to sell a car in Port Harcourt.
During an interview with journalists in Rivers State, the suspect confessed to the crime.
