Adesina: Some of Buhari’s harshest critics dine at Aso Rock

Femi Adesina, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, said that some of the people who vilify his principal publicly return to Aso Rock for dinner.

Commenting on Femi Fani-Kayode’s return to the All Progressives Congress (APC), the presidential spokesman stated this.

Mai Mala Buni, the Governor of Yobe State and Chairman of the APC National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), presented Fayode-Kayode to Buhari at the State House, Abuja, last week.

In response to his defection, both the APC and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) have insulted him.

Adesina wrote that Buhari is large-hearted, as evidenced by his treatment of Fani-Kayode in his weekly article.

From last week to today, vitriol poured by FFK on anyone with a slight affinity for the APC has been dredged up serially. His statements come straight from the gutter and would be deemed unpardonable by a natural man.

“Against President Buhari, the first family, Yusuf Buhari, whom he wished had died when the latter almost died in a motor accident, the APC as a party, the government, party leaders, groups, and individuals. Even this writer has been the victim of horrid descriptions from FFK.

Even though he said he’d rather die than return to APC, he did so last week, healthy and alive.

A lot of loyal APC members are furious that FFK has been readmitted to the party. Not only that, but he got back to the highest level. Not in his ward in Ile-Ife, Osun State, but at the Presidential Villa, where President Buhari was the host.”

In addition to Fani-Kayode, Buhari has hosted and dined with some of those who publicly condemn him.

Some have formed the habit of lying that Buhari is unforgiving, but the president has proven them wrong with his actions.

“I have worked with the President for more than six years. It has been amazing to witness the ability to accommodate and forgive.”

Several times I have visited him in the evening at home, but everyone he had dinner with earlier that day had been abusing his forefathers on television. He has the ability to forgive and forget. And make peace.”
