After her husband assaulted her with a machete for denying him conjugal rights, a 40-year-old lady is recovering at the Busia County Referral Hospital in Kenya.
Misaro village in Siaya county was the scene of the tragedy.
Judith Anyago, the lady, claimed that she was obliged to deny her husband conjugal rights because he is HIV-positive.
The woman also accused her husband of having extramarital encounters after finding condoms and feminine undergarments in his pants pocket that did not belong to her.
The victim’s nurse, Rose Kwena, verified the event, stating that doctors are now handling the patient well but that a CT scan will establish the degree of damage.
Anyango’s brother-in-law Festo Onyango Odhiambo expressed dissatisfaction in what his brother Jackton Opondo done while criticizing the occurrence, adding that they had set a family gathering to resolve the couple’s squabbles.
The family is now asking with authorities to discover and apprehend the assailant, whom they describe as a violent man.
