Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC) amid more reactions.
Former Minister Babafemi Ojudu, Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Political Matters, expressed sadness over the defection of a former minister to the ruling party.
In a post on his Facebook page, Ojudu wrote, “This is the saddest day of my political career.”
He also shared the popular post attributed to Fani-Kayode in which he declared that he would rather die than join the APC.
FFK made this statement in 2019.
As he defected to the ruling party earlier this week, he was received by President Muhammadu Buhari. He had been hobnobbing with party leaders and governors for months.
Though FFK did not deny the statement attributed to him that he would never join the APC, he said the present APC differs from the past.
