Reverend Stephen Akinola, cleric and General Overseer of Redemption Ministries, Worldwide, has died.
A Port Harcourt pastor died at an undisclosed hospital in Abuja in the early hours of Sunday, June 6.
According to reports, Akinola underwent a kidney transplant months ago, although the cause of death has not been determined.
When news of his death broke, members of his congregation rushed to the church’s headquarters in Port Harcourt to mourn the cleric.
According to Apostle Eugene Ogu, former Chairman of both the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria in Rivers State, Akinola died Sunday.
Yes, it is a sad day for the Christian community. Akinola’s death happened while we were still talking about Prophet TB Joshua. According to him
68-year-old Akinola is from Igboho, Oyo State. In a city named Tamale, in the northern part of Ghana, he was born.
It comes just as Nigerians are grieving over the loss of Prophet TB Joshua of Synagogue Church of All Nations, who died on Saturday.
