Rachel Tetteh, 27, is alleged to have beheaded her husband in Eastern Region, Ghana.
On Sunday, October 3, 2021, an incident occurred at Tei Glover, a farming community near Akyem Bosuso in the Fanteakwa South District.
Her husband, Lartey Daniel, 35, has been deposited at the morgue for autopsy after his headless body was arrested by police.
Local media reports suggest there was a misunderstanding between the couple over alleged cheating.
The suspect pursued the deceased and allegedly pushed him to the ground before taking control of the cutlass to allegedly cut off his head as he was on his way to the farm.
DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, the Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, who confirmed the incident to the media, said police were dispatched to the scene when they received information about the crime at about 7:30 am on Sunday, October 3, 2021.
Police found the deceased’s lifeless body in ash trousers over a white T-shirt, lying prone in a pool of blood with a severed head on the footpath to the farm.
The police examined the body and took inventories of the crime scene.
Autopsy will take place at the morgue of the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital.
Police arrested the suspect and recovered the cutlass she used to commit the heinous crime, according to the PPRO.
Currently, the suspect is in police custody assisting with the investigation.
