According to the Arewa Youth Advisory Forum (AYCF), the Federal Government should ban Nigeria’s reality show, BBNaija.
On Friday, AYCF National President, Yerima Shettima, described the show as a calamity.
According to him, the government should prevent it from being broadcast because it promotes immorality.
As Shettima puts it, “It’s a calamity for me; I never believed in BBNaija and I don’t think it’s fair since the show is immoral.”. A spectacle such as this should not be encouraged.
“I have often said that this show promotes immorality and that the Nigerian government should ban it, it should not be broadcast in our country.
People watch this to see acts of immorality, to see these sexual things flaunting their nudity, and they made it look like a ‘blue film,’ so it should be discouraged.
“I call upon all true lovers of the country to join hands and raise the government’s attention to the implications of this program, which should be discouraged.”
“BBNaija is a reality show in which contestants live in an isolated house and compete for a big cash prize by avoiding being evicted by viewers.”
Ongoing is the sixth edition of ‘Shine Ya Eyes’.
