Arsenal has signed England international Ben White from Brighton for a reported £50million fee to strengthen their defence.

On Friday, White signed a long-term contract with Emirates Stadium.

After impressing on loan with Leeds United in 2019-20, the 23-year-old signed a four-year contract with Brighton in 2020.

In the Premier League last season, White made 36 appearances for Graham Potter’s side.

As a result of his form, White was called up to England’s provisional squad for Euro 2020, replacing Trent Alexander-Arnold, who was injured.

Arsenal has spent a great deal on the youngster despite the fact he did not play at Euros. Due to David Luiz’s contract expiration, Michael Arteta’s side is short at the back.
