Two people were killed and two others injured in a fatal road accident along the Bauchi-Maiduguri road at Zangoro Village.
Yusuf Abdullahi, the Sector Commander for the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Bauchi State, who confirmed the accident to newsmen at the weekend, said that the crash occurred Friday, 4th June 2021, at about 2.00 pm when a Peugeot 406 with registration number: TRN-36SL and a DAF Truck also with registration number: PKM-77-XA collided.
Abdullahi said the crash was caused by dangerous driving.
Two people died in the process, two others sustained various degrees of injuries, while the remaining two escaped unharmed.
The moment we learned about the crash, our men rushed to the scene and evacuated the victims to Bauchi’s Abubakar Tafawa Balewa University Teaching Hospital.
Two of them were confirmed dead by a medical doctor there.
“The two injured people are responding to treatment,” he said.
The corpses of the deceased are deposited at the mortuary, then released to their families for burial.
