Five women have been abducted by bandits in Birnin Yero Community of Igabi Local Government Area of Kaduna State.
Bandits stormed the area at night and picked seven victims, but some escaped.
According to Nasir, a resident who simply identified himself, among the victims were housewives and young girls.
Six other residents of the same community were abducted by the bandits a week earlier.
Local resident Yahaya Salisu said the number of people abducted was higher, but Daily Trust was not able to independently verify the claim.
State Public Relations Officer, ASP Jalige Mohammed, was unaware of the abduction, but would check with the division officer before commenting.
18 residents of the Keke ll community of Chikun Local Government Area of the state were abducted by bandits on Tuesday.
Kaduna is one of the states in the northwestern region dealing with kidnapping and banditry.
