Two people have been killed by bandits in Makoro Iri village in Kajuru Local Government of Kaduma State.
Security reports indicate that the bandits invaded the remote village and shot dead Gideon Mumini and Barnabas Ezra.
According to Samuel Aruwan, the State Commissioner for Internal Security and Home Affairs, a statement was released on Sunday.
Troops of Operation Safe Haven rescued three travelers from armed bandits along the Gidan Waya-Godogodo road in Jema’a LGA.
Bandits blocked the road and abducted the travelers.
The trio commuters were rescued when a distress call was answered and troops pursued the bandits.
Rescued travelers’ vehicle, a Peugeot 307, was also recovered.
Gov. Nasir El-Rufai expressed sorrow over the report of the attack in Makoro Iri village, Kajuru LGA, and prayed for the repose of the victims’ souls, as he sent condolences to their families.
