Bethel Baptist High School students in Kaduna have been released by bandits.
On Sunday, July 25, 28 students were reportedly released after a N50m ransom was paid.
121 of the school’s students were abducted in the early morning of July 5, 2021, according to Rev. Ishaya Jangado, the president of the Kaduna Baptist Conference, and a proprietor of the school.
Around 2am on the said date, gunmen infiltrated the school premises along the Kaduna-Kachia highway, Damishi, in the Chikun Local Government Area of the state.
The chairman of the Kaduna State chapter of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Rev. John Hayab, confirmed the release of 15 more students on Saturday night.
