Agents of the Bayelsa State Police Command have caught a nearby traveller pontoon and recuperated 200 cartridges of live ammo and a pack containing a huge amount of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
The state Commissioner of Police, Mr Mike Okoli, said three suspects were moreover captured in association with the incident. Okoli, who paraded the suspects nearby 42 others captured for different wrongdoings at the state command base camp on Monday, said the commercial watercraft was catching at the Swali Advertise Wharf in Yenagoa, the state capital city.
He said, “My analysts found a nearby traveller vessel stacked at Swali Advertise Wharf, and prepared to cruise to Southern Ijaw. Based on a tip-off, they seized the vessel, looked it and recouped a huge amount of a substance suspected to be Indian hemp.
“They too recouped a pack containing 200 cartridges of live ammo, the sort utilized by pump-action weapons. All these things were prepared to move into Southern Ijaw for criminal activities
the police commissioner said the culprits would be charged to court.
