Briton Boris Johnson, on Thursday, pledged that Britain would assist Nigeria in the fight against terrorism.
PM Johnson said “We are available to help,” after listening to Buhari, according to a statement issued by President Muhammadu Buhari’s spokesman.
After evaluating Nigeria’s war against various forms of terrorism, the two leaders agreed that the judicial process should also be allowed to run its course.
The resolution was reached during bilateral talks on the sidelines of the Global Education Summit in London.
Leaders of both parties noted how important it is for the judicial process to run without interference.
Nigeria’s power needs and efforts to achieve food security were discussed by Buhari with the Prime Minister.
The two leaders also discussed how to increase trade between the two countries, develop solar and wind power, the future of the Commonwealth and other topics of mutual interest, the statement noted.
