In spite of the differences among Nigeria’s nationalities, President Muhammadu Buhari asserts that Nigeria would be better served by remaining united.
He announced this at a Sallah visit he made to corps members in Daura, Katsina State on Tuesday, July 20.
Aside from giving advice on unity, the President also endorsed the National Youth Service Corps, stating that it contributed to promoting unity in Nigeria.
President Buhari said, “Nigeria is characterized by not only cultural differences but also physical differences. As a result, I am passionate about NYSC and wish you the best of luck. You have served this country well, and I am grateful.
“Keeping Nigeria united is better for the country”
“I assure you that Nigeria will fare better than a fallout.”
The president is reported to have donated two bulls, twenty bags of rice, and one million naira to the corps members after his remarks.
