Femi Fani-Kayode, the former minister of aviation, is returning to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
On Thursday, Mai Mala Buni, governor of Yobe State and chairman of the APC National Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee (CECPC), presented Fani-Kayode to President Muhammadu Buhari at the State House, Abuja.
Governor Bello Matawalle of Zamfara State was also present.
During his remarks, Fani-Kayode said he played a key role in the defection of three Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governors to APC.
His return to the APC was for national unity, said the former spokesman of the PDP Presidential Campaign Council. He said he was a founding member of the APC.
Governors Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Bala Mohammed (Bauchi), and Ifeanyi Uguanyi (Enugu) are currently being courted to join the APC.
