Former Ekiti state governor, Ayo Fayose, reacted to Twitter’s decision to delete President Buhari’s tweet about the civil war.
Tuesday, June 1, Buhari said on Twitter that those who are too young to understand what occurred during the civil war will soon be treated in a ‘language they will understand.’
On Wednesday, June 2, Twitter removed the tweet after many people reported it as a threat of violence/war.
Twitter said the tweet violated it’s policies.
Fayose has now reacted to Twitter’s decision, saying that those exercising Buhari’s powers do not know when or where to stop.
He then claimed Buhari was incapable of operating an Android phone, not to mention tweeting genocidal threats.
Fayose wrote on Twitter on Wednesday evening, “It is obvious that those exercising President Buhari’s powers for him do not know when & where to stop their power-madness.”.
Twitter may not be aware that the President is not the one operating the account. Can he operate an Android phone without making genocidal statements?”
