Abdulrasheed Bawa, Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), collapsed at a program at the Presidential Villa on Thursday.
At the National Identity Day celebration, Bawa suddenly stopped talking while delivering his goodwill message.
At the time of the incident, the commission had arrested a man in Ibadan, Oyo state, with 116 SIM cards.
During the event, the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr Isa Ali Pantami, and other senior officials assisted him to his seat.
Bawa’s condition was later announced as stable by the Master of Ceremony (MC).
“I am delighted to inform you that the EFCC Chairman is now stable,” he said.
However, the chairman and those who rushed him out are yet to return to the hall at the time of filing this report.
