As a result of his recent indictment by the E.F.C.C, entrepreneur Ismaila Mustapha, better known by his stage name Mompha, has spoken out (EFCC).
Mompha’s photograph was used as the face of a wanted poster, and anyone with information on his whereabouts was asked to contact the anti-graft agency.
When Mompha failed to show up for his money laundering trial, the EFCC claimed so.
Mompha reacted angrily, accusing the EFCC of being a corrupt organisation. This agency is nothing more than a “charade,” according to the man, who believes he will never see justice done “under the corrupt-laden system” in place.
He also inquired as to why Nappy, his accused co-conspirator, had not been sought by the EFCC. This is because he claims that the agency has allegedly “extorted Nappy’s money, automobiles, and landed properties” while declaring him “to generate cheap publicity.”
It was his contention that he had not committed a crime and that he had just paid Nappy for his Bureau De Change services in the normal course of business.
EFCC is “so jobless that they want to ruin my image,” he wrote in an email.
In his words: “Last but not least, the International Court of Justice should resolve this situation, @officialefcc.”
