Rufus Adepoju, the Diocesan Bishop of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) of Ekiti West has been suspended over alleged sexual misconduct.
Announcement of his suspension was once conveyed in a letter dated December 11, 2020, and signed by using the Primate of the Church of Nigeria, Most Rev Henry Ndukuba.
It was once learnt that Adepoju who was once allegedly caught with the spouse of a priest underneath his employment and care, has admitted wrongdoing. With his suspension, the Bishop would no longer partake in any church endeavour for a year.
The letter read;
“Advent greetings in the treasured title of our LORD and Saviour Jesus Christ. We write with a deep feeling of challenge and ache to droop you from the workplace as the Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Ekiti West.
“This is a sequel to your habits giving simply a reason for scandal and abhorrent sexual behaviour with the spouse of a priest below your employment and care. These data have been admitted with the aid of you in an assembly in our workplace held on Thursday, December 10, 2020.
