The criminal prosecution brought by his ex-girlfriend, Okeoghene Taiye Iyomateire, against Nigerian artist Wasiu Goriola, also known as Lil Frosh, has been dismissed.
Remember how Taiye used her official Instagram page in February 2021 to call out the artist for domestic violence and assault?
She went even farther, posting photos of her beaten body as well as screenshots to show that the musician wasn’t as kind as he appeared.
Later, the singer was subjected to legal action, and he was dropped from DMW’s record company.
Both Lil Frosh and his ex-girlfriend came to Instagram on Monday to declare that they had reunited and that the case had been dismissed.
“The aforementioned subject matter refers,” Lil Frosh said in a public statement from his counsel. Wasiu Goriola, popularly known as Lil Frosh, is our client, and we write on his behalf.
“This is to inform the general public and our client’s well-wishers of the latest developments in the criminal charge/suit filed against our client.”
“A criminal charge was filed against our client on February 10, 2021, resulting in a change in our client’s trajectory.” However, it is now necessary for us to inform the public and well-wishers that the parties in the criminal case have reconciled and that the charges filed against our client were withdrawn on March 14, 2022.
“Our client isn’t proud of his situation, and he’s grateful to have found the lyomaterie family, who has been helpful throughout this process.” During this difficult time, our client appreciates prayers and support from family and friends. “Thank you very much.”
Taiye also stated that the lawsuit had been settled without going to court.
“I want to thank everyone who stood by me during the situation between Lil Frosh and I,” she said. I’d also want to mention that the legal case between me and Lil Frosh has been dismissed, and we’re on good terms. “Thank you very much.”
