Operation Hadin Kai Theatre Commander, Maj.-Gen. Christopher Musa, says Nigerian military will not allow international terrorist group Islamic States West Africa Province (ISWAP) to consolidate its presence in the country.
Musa said this in an interview with newsmen on Wednesday, in Maiduguri
In his opinion, ISWAP is a foreign terrorist organization funded by foreign individuals and probably some locals, and they have foreign leadership, which means they have no stake in Nigeria.
ISWAP are foreigners who are coming to invade our country, and we will never allow that to happen.
“That is why I want to encourage those of them, specifically those members who are with them, to pull out and understand that they have no stake in what those guys are doing.
Neither do they wish the country well nor do they wish themselves well, in other words, no foreigner will set foot onto Nigerian soil.
The theatre commander said that the military had advised the governments on the need to include the victims in a dialogue on the handling of surrendered terrorists.
