Delta state governor Ifeanyi Okowa has signed the anti-open grazing bill into law.
Members of the Delta State House of Assembly passed a bill prohibiting open grazing a week ago. A motion by the Majority Leader of the House, Ferguson Onwo, led to its passage.
On Thursday, September 30, at the Government House in Asaba, the state capital, Okowa signed the bill. It has already been enacted in some southern states.
