Gunmen who invaded the community at 11.30 pm on Friday shot three members of the Mararaban Jos Divisional Police Station.

According to Fatima Mohammed, another resident of the community was alerted by the attack on the police station.
“As soon as we heard gunshots, we called the security agents. Fortunately, the gunmen did not enter the community.
“Another thing is that when they arrived, it was drizzling, and then the rain came down heavily, which may have caused them to retreat.
We took the injured policemen to a local hospital for treatment after the incident.
“Many residents have been kidnapped silently and ransom has been paid for their release.
A day before Sallah, three women who had been held captive for over 30 days were released after a ransom was paid. Residents are fleeing for fear of being kidnapped,” she said.
However, she said normalcy had returned to the area, as people were seen going about their business.
ASP Muhammad Jalige, the Police Public Relations Officer in Kaduna State Police Command, confirmed the incident and the shooting of the three policemen.
Bandits killed a villager and abducted seven people, including three women, at Angular Gajere village in Birnin Gwari Local Government Area in Kaduna State six days ago.
Additionally, they rustled over 50 cows from the same village.
