Abdullahi Benda and his 23-year-old son, Jibrin Abdullahi Benda, were abducted at Yangoji village in Kwali Area council of Abuja.
Zakari, a neighbour who identified himself as Zakari, said the incident occurred in the early morning hours of Friday.
He claimed the kidnappers scaled the fence of the victim’s house after positioning themselves strategically.
A kidnapper was even standing at a window behind my room, shooting into the air, because the fence separates us from the victim.
“The other gang members jumped over the fence and entered the house,” he said.
According to him, the kidnappers smashed the doors and forced their way into the room, stealing the man and one of his sons at gunpoint.
“They tried to steal away the man’s wife, but they spared her after learning that she was nursing a baby,” he added.
A spokesperson for the FCT police command, ASP Daniel Y. Ndiparya, confirmed the kidnap incident and said the command was making efforts to ensure the kidnapped victims were rescued.
“Yes, we are aware and we are working to rescue the victims,” he said.
