Philip Shaibu, the Deputy Governor of Edo state, has denied any rift with his principal, Governor Godwin Obaseki.
While appearing as a guest on a Channels Television programme, Shaibu commented on rumors that he had agreed to dump the PDP for an undisclosed party.
According to him;
“I am happy with my governor; I don’t have any problem with my governor. “So, the issue of not being happy with my governor is not there. I remain absolutely loyal to my governor.”
However, the Deputy Governor made it clear that there were some issues within the ruling party in the state, without categorically stating whether he was leaving.
“There are issues we need to resolve over PDP."
