Nasir El-Rufai, governor of Kaduna State, is deeply concerned about the hardship caused by insecurity in the state, Kaduna is one of the states where bandits have wreaked havoc.
Many residents of the state are currently in captivity while hundreds have been killed.
The Kaduna State Governor gave sobering statistics about the state of security in the state during his remarks during the presentation of the Kaduna State Security Incidents Report for the Second Quarter of 2021.
According to him, the data on security incidents during the second quarter of 2021 reflects the real agony of our citizens and communities, their losses, fears, and anxieties that have created considerable distress.
According to him, the report also outlines what the Kaduna State Government and the security agencies are doing to contain the situation.
El-Rufai, however, lamented that the considerable investment in security had not yet turned into defeat, or at least significant degradation of violent criminals.
As he called on the federal government to assist in making up the manpower deficit in the security sector, he reiterated his commitment to continue supporting security agencies.
Kaduna State’s citizens and residents are urged to remain law-abiding, and to maintain peace in their communities.
Zangon Kataf and Jema’a Local Government Areas were specifically urged not to relent in their quest for peace.
He sympathized with the people and security agents for all the suffering caused by the situation.
“I can assure you that we are working hard to solve this problem, and that it is our solemn duty to do so,” he pledged
