Office and vehicle belonging to the vigilante group in the area were also set ablaze by the assailants.

A source in the community said a top businessman in the area was among those killed in the process.

According to him, there was an attack in Ozubulu on a vigilante office by some “hoodlums”.

He said the attackers came in Sienna vehicles, motorcycles and attacked the office of the vigilante.

Ikenga also said that security operatives have been deployed to the area and normalcy restored.
