In spite of the suspension of the sit-at-home order every Monday in the South East, residents are afraid to leave their homes.
There are still many deserted streets in South East major areas today, August 30.
There have also been reports of masquerades parading the streets to deter people from going about their daily lives.
According to reports, anyone caught going out will be flogged.
A sit-at-home order was declared to protest the arrest of IPOB leader, Nnamdi Kanu. Ultimately, the ban was lifted, but residents say it is just a matter of words, since they are afraid of being attacked if they open their shops or offices.
