A gas cylinder exploded in a restaurant in Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates, on Monday, killing two people and injuring 120, according to authorities.
Police noted that firefighters from the civil defence were able to confine the blaze, which damaged many stores and the façade of six buildings.
They had previously stated that four buildings had been evacuated.
Local media photographs depicted broken glass and rubble strewn over the sidewalk. The restaurant is located in Khaldiya, a neighbourhood near the coast.
