Nigeria’s National Agency for Food, Drug Administration and Control has approved two more COVID-19 vaccines.
Moderna and Sputnik are the vaccines. Both vaccines are approved for emergency use.
Professor Moji Adeyeye, the Director-General of NAFDAC, announced this at a press conference in Abuja on Thursday.
Although the Sputnik vaccine has not yet been approved by the World Health Organisation, NAFDAC has performed independent tests on the vaccine and found that the benefits outweigh the risks.
