National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) leadership met with Sheik Ahmed Gumi in Kaduna to discuss safety and security of Nigerian students.
Sunday Asefon, the national president of NANS, said the organization will not stop until schools are safe.
To ensure school safety, we will continue engaging and speaking with stakeholders.
We reiterate our commitment to the continuous dialogue for the release of students in captivity and to ensuring that schools become safer so that our students are free from the fear and trauma of kidnapping, he said.
Students are currently being held captive across the country, with their captors demanding ridiculous amounts of ransom.
