Hussaini Aliyu Takuma, a farmer, was murdered and his body placed in a well opposite his property by his workers in the Jeida community of Kuje Area Council in the FCT, according to the Abuja police.

City & Crime reported that the farmer went missing from his farm on June 2, but was found slain and dumped in a well following an exhaustive search.

ASP Oduniyi Omotayo, the deputy spokesperson of the police in the FCT, confirmed the incident by phone yesterday and stated that the suspects were later apprehended at the Kabusa axis while travelling to Kano with stolen livestock belonging to their principal.

Omotayo stated that the investigation is ongoing and that the results will be made public.

He added, “On June 4, 2022, the deceased’s brother reported to the Kuje Divisional Police Headquarters that his brother had left for his farm on June 2, 2022, and never returned.

The police acted swiftly, deploying investigating apparatus in response to the report. Two suspects, who worked on the deceased’s farm, were later apprehended at the Kabusa axis en route to Kano with stolen animals belonging to their deceased employer.

“Information obtained from the suspects led to the discovery of the decedent’s body in a well located behind his farm. The death of the victim is the subject of an ongoing investigation to uncover groundbreaking facts.

After murdering the farm’s owner, City & Crime learned that the suspects stole around 40 sheep and six goats from the farm.
