Former Senate President, Chief Adolphus Wabara, has been sacked as Chairman of the Abia State University’s Governing Council by Governor Okezie Ikpeazu
After addressing the press requesting micro-zoning of the Governorship ticket to Abia North Senatorial district and warning that the All Progressive Grand Alliance (APGA) would take over the state in 2023, he was fired.
“No single individual has the right to determine the future governor of the state,” the former Senate President stated.
Parties, elders, and stakeholders must convene.
According to the party’s constitution, Gov. Ikpeazu’s successor may be micro zoned, but only after macro zoning to Ukwa or Abia North has been completed.
According to close acquaintances who talked anonymously to our journalist, the governor was dissatisfied.
Soon after, the governor removed him as Chairman of the Abia State University Governing Council.
ASU’s governing council will be disbanded immediately with Governor Ikpeazu’s approval.
The governor then voted to reconstitute the new governing council as soon as possible.
