Senator John James Akpanudoedehe, Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Caretaker/Extraordinary Convention Planning Committee, insists he has not quit.
Senator Akpanudoedehe is said to have resigned as a result of the party’s recent events.
However, he told reporters on Tuesday at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja that he is still the real secretary of the Caretaker Committee.
“It has been reported on social media that I have resigned as APC Secretary.” I’d want to clarify that this is not the case; I did not resign. If I had resigned, you would have read my resignation letter, which I had written myself. When someone is alive, it is impossible to declare he is dead.
“I am neither greater than the party, nor am I greater than the President, who is the country’s leader.” He said, “I’m waiting for the national chairman to return.”
